Training for young Tutors

Do you belong to the digital ‚Generation Z‘? Are you between 17 and 22 years old and socially engaged? Then this is a project for you! We offer young people, fit in the field of social media, a training to become a tutor for elderly people, also called ‘Silver Surfers’. Based on newly adapted learning and teaching concepts you act as a motivating facilitator of new digital social networks, communication media and technologies for elderly people in order to reduce biases and activate a sense of security and enthusiasm in using tools and applications for everyday life.

Your learning opportunities:

• enhancement of your own knowledge through experts in regard to

  o   identifying and dealing with ‘fake news’ and

  o   protection of personal data in the internet

• development and advancement of your communication and group-facilitation skills

• being taken seriously as a digital expert and being able to give trust, appreciative communication and pleasure

• advancement of your personal skills in transferring knowledge

• enhancing understanding across generations in regard to historical backgrounds and potentials of elderly people

• and ultimately you gain valuable experience for your professional career
