Transform Lives, Bridge Gaps, and Become a Mentor for Migrant Integration
Bildungslab, in partnership with Solidarity Overseas Services (Malta) and an international consortium of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), is excited to announce the Language Buddy Mentorship Train-the-Trainer Event taking place in Malta from 8th-10th May 2025.
This is a unique opportunity for students passionate about language, education, and migrant integration to step into the role of a mentor and become part of a transformative initiative that is changing the lives of migrant children and young adults across Europe.
What is the Language Buddy Project?
The Language Buddy Project, funded by the EU’s Asylum, Migration, and Integration Fund (AMIF), is designed to help migrant children and young adults integrate into their new communities through language learning and mentorship. By bringing together students from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and migrant mentees, this project is building connections and providing effective integration tools.
The Train-the-Trainer event in Malta will equip you with the necessary skills to become a mentor and trainer for the program. Through interactive workshops and hands-on learning, you’ll receive valuable training to lead language mentoring sessions and support your future mentees.
Why Should You Apply?
Make a difference: Be part of a European-wide effort to support migrant integration and make a direct impact on someone's life.
Develop your skills: Gain experience in mentorship, language teaching, and cross-cultural communication.
Join an international community: Meet students from seven European countries and exchange ideas and experiences in a collaborative environment.
Boost your career: Enhance your CV with a unique international experience and training in mentorship and language learning.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are open to undergraduate and graduate students from departments such as pedagogy, education, language, and literature. If you’ve already enrolled in the AMIF online programme, Award in Language Buddy Mentoring Activities, you’ll be given preference.
