Final event of Common Good in Vienna

This final event marks the end of our two-year trip as part of the Erasmus Plus project. The event, which took place in a local neighborhood, was a powerful example of community collaboration and the practical outcomes we have developed to promote stronger, more inclusive communities across Europe.

Celebrating community connections and collective visions

The event followed the “Crafting a Collective Vision” approach and encouraged participants to take an active role in shaping the future of their neighborhood. Participants - including local residents, non-governmental organizations and international project partners - took part in creative activities and shared their visions for a sustainable and inclusive community. In workshops, participants created symbolic objects representing core community values such as sustainability, responsibility and empathy. These objects were then woven into a collective tapestry reflecting a shared commitment to positive community engagement.

Unfolding the community compass e-book

One of the key highlights of the event was the official launch of our Community Compass e-book, a key resource developed as part of the project. This guide provides practical tools and actionable strategies that can be easily implemented by NGOs, educators and community organizers to promote more sustainable and cohesive neighborhoods. The e-book is intended as a practical tool to support community leaders in engaging local stakeholders, organizing inclusive events and promoting long-term social change.

Results of the final transnational project meeting (TPM)

Our final transnational project meeting was attended by partners from across Europe, including Folias Cooperativa Sociale from Italy and Gemeinsam Leben und Lernen in Europa from Germany. This was an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the project and discuss how the tools we have developed - from e-books to our e-learning modules - can continue to be applied across all European communities. The TPM was an opportunity for partners to share insights, exchange feedback and explore future collaborations to extend the impact of the project.

The benefits for communities and NGOs

The Common Good Project has brought significant benefits to both local communities and non-governmental organizations across Europe. By offering accessible, easy-to-implement solutions, the Community Compass empowers community leaders to take action and inspire positive change in their neighborhoods. In particular, non-governmental organizations can use the strategies outlined in the e-book to increase their engagement with residents, foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders, and create lasting impact through inclusive neighborhood initiatives.

Our e-learning modules further enhance these efforts by providing flexible online resources that support ongoing education in community engagement and sustainable practices.

Looking to the future

Although the Common Good Project is officially complete, its impact is just beginning. We are excited to see how the tools and strategies we have developed will continue to promote positive change in neighborhoods across Europe. The e-book and e-learning resources will continue to be available to anyone who wants to strengthen their community and create a more sustainable future.

If you missed the event, don't worry! You can still access the Community Compass e-book and our e-learning tools by signing up here. Let's continue the journey to stronger, more resilient communities together.
